Blog PART 2:Compare Turkish media to other international media
Recent days we are able see familiar television programs with international medias an especially American media in turkey. programs like " Var mısın Yok musun?" are fundamentally came from American media. Moreover; famous Turkish television man called Acun Ilıcalı's television shows are usually originated from American TV programs. Nowadays turkey has two other popular reality shows called "Yemekteyiz" and "İzdivaç". In the show "Yemeteyiz" five people are serving dinner to each other every night and grading each other at the end of the night. the price for the winner is ten thousand Turkish liras. In the other show " İzdivaç" people are looking for a mate to marry with. I do not think there is no other television programs in international media. In conclusion it is able to say that Turkish media is influenced by international media and especially American media. however Turkish media also have specific programs that are original for turkey.
Blog PART 2: Write an autobiographical entry on your relationship with the media
I spend a great time on watching television in my free days. Even if i would not be able to find something that interests me in television; i still would watch it. I cannot explain why am I watching it. When I'm doing my homework, playing a game, or watching something on computer; I never turn off that television. I do not know why but it feels me like when I turn on that television; thousands of people are standing and talking in my room. I have an television in my room till I'm 4 and I think I'm addicted to television. As everybody; I have also started watching television by cartoons. I was spending my whole day on watching cartoons and when the cartoons were ended at night, I would start watching them via VCR. Nowadays; I'm watching some sport programs, some comedy series in television. I'm not watching any popular reality shows or any quiz programs in turkey recent days. I think these reality shows are way more artificial than normal shows.

Enormous Radio
i think enormous radio is the best short story we have read in this lecture. the horror concept in the story helps it to separate itself from other stories. the inquisitiveness of Irene and the calmness of Jim harden the balance between them. also the addiction of Irene to the radio is also pictured well. The last part of the story is also another great part of the story. the reader first recognizes the quarrel between Irene and Jim from the radio dialogs that Irene heard. after that the starting point of the argue; the money issue occurs and at the and Irene became obsessed with the radio and thinks the radio hears their argue. this kind of interesting types of short stories can be more interesting for students to read and think about it.

Requiem For A Dream(ENG 101 part 2)
In the movie "Requiem for a Dream" there are 3 drug addicts and mother of one of the addicts. Ellen Burstyn(Sara Goldfarb) is playing the mother in the movie and Jared Leto(Harry) is playing the main character in the film. Jennifer Connelly(Marrion) is another addict and she is in love with Harry. The third addict is also a drug dealer who is performed by Marlon Wayans(Tyrone).
The family bonds between Sara and Harry is weak. Harry do not have any idea about how does his mother's continues her life. She became a drug addict accidentally. She also is a TV addict and she starts to use fake diet pills to lose weight so she would be able to dress an old red dress when she goes to a TV show. Her son is also an drug addict.Because of the weak relationship Harry is unable to help his mother because he has not know anything about his mothers condition.
The drug and the family issues are the main reasons for the problems in the film. Harry needs to take care of himself and make his decisions by himself in an early age. He has bad friends and a big drug problem. If he would have better relationships with his mother, she could be able to help out her son and helps him in his bad times. Also if Sara would not let her children to run away from her, Harry would be able to prevent his mother from using drungs and could help her to overcome the addiction of TV.

What marriage is for?
She doesn't seems like she respects to aspect of marriage because she always tried to explain or put a definition to word "marriage". but i think like love, marriage is something that cannot be defined clearly or cannot have logic in it. Therefore this caused me to think that the writer and i are not having the same ideas about the marriage. however she has really good points on supporting same-sex marriage. her observations and comments on both normal marriage and same-sex marriage helps reader to understand the situation in different ways.

Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?
In the story "Where are you going. Where have you been?" the concept of the 1960's is not observed and represented well but the life style, the activities of connie in the story helps reader to feel himself/herself in 1960's. also connies father could have more role and importance in the story. the insufficiency of the father in connie's life could be a reason why connie is very relax on relationship with boys.

A rose for emily
i think towns people are responsible for the death of homer barron. townspeople were aware of emily bought a arsenic but they did not care because they thought she would suicide. Also the narrator used both present and the past times in the story. With the complicated cronological changes it confuses the reader and helps story to develop itself. at the end the narrator also tries to distract the attention of the reader by a shocking end( the found of the iron gray hair)
